Steve Rubenfaer — Entrepreneur with Marketing Expertise
A San Francisco, California based entrepreneur with more than 40 years of small business management and marketing experience, Steve Rubenfaer is in the process of launching a sports betting company called BettorTakes.
Steve Rubenfaer previously served as owner and CEO of Mission de Flores, which he founded in 2013 and developed into one of the premier florist brands in the Bay Area. The business, which had three retail locations and served 40 grocery stores, enjoyed more than 100% sales growth through its first 3 years of operation. Mission de Flores was known for its beautiful contemporary arrangements and prompt service.
Steve Rubenfaer also previously served as owner and CEO of Rubystamps. He founded the collectible stamp company in 2001, and led it to become the top seller in eBay’s stamp category. At its peak, the company shipped 6,000 unique products per month and had annual sales of $7 million. To this day no company has sold more online stamps than Rubystamps.
Prior to launching the company, he served 3 years as a partner at ArtMecca.com, directing the company through Series A, B and bridge financing. Mr. Rubenfaer’s prior experience includes a stint as operations manager at Terry Pimsleur & Co, where he ran the largest festivals on the west cost, and a 3 year tenure as owner and president of the entertainment company Vegas Kids, where he produced one of Las gas’ largest family events and sold sponsorships to prominent companies like Pepsi and Wendy’s. Complementing his business leadership experience, he holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA.
